Ethan C. (“EC”) Duckworth is an associate attorney at The A.W. Smith Law Firm, P.C. He focuses his practice almost entirely on representing individuals and their families who have been harmed and damaged due to no fault of their own. EC’s practice includes auto/truck collisions, wrongful death, premises liability, medical negligence, and insurance disputes.
EC grew up near Ashland, Missouri, and he earned his law degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia, where he graduated in the top 10 of his class and served as an Associate Editor for the Missouri Law Review. EC currently serves as a member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA) and is a graduate of the Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy.
Prior to joining AW Smith Law, EC was an attorney for a prominent civil defense firm in Kansas City, where he learned the ins and outs of how catastrophic injury claims are defended by large corporations. Now on the other side, representing those injured by the actions of others, EC applies that experience in zealously advocating for his clients.
Outside of work, EC enjoys boating at the Lake of the Ozarks, hunting, playing a variety of sports, and following the Chiefs, Royals, and University of Missouri athletic teams.
